We’re looking to bring on a Data Engineer. This role will ensure data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and secure and can serve multiple business units within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to train and educate fellow team members.

On an average day, you will:

Work with other development teams to review and approve database changes according to database design standards and principles.

Create and maintain SQL and/or python jobs that import and export data between systems.

Create data flow diagrams for data management systems.

Code, test, and document new or modified data systems to create robust and scalable applications for data analytics.

Provide detailed analysis, design, tuning, testing, implementation, and documentation of the production database systems.

Translate business requirements into system requirements and assess where support is needed relative to existing technical system design.

Participate in creating strategies and roadmaps for business intelligence and data platforms.

Resolve conflicts between models, ensuring that data models are consistent with the ecosystem model (e.g., entity names, relationships, and definitions).



To qualify for this job, you must have the following:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical discipline or equivalent work experience

2+ years of experience in MSSQL, writing complex stored procedures and functions

Strong knowledge of relational databases, database structures and design, systems design, data management, and data warehouse 

Experience with performance tuning, building, and correcting indexes to optimize performance

Experience using SQL CDC and triggers

Experience with Kafka/Confluent

Ability to learn and utilize programs to analyze data from different sources and produce meaningful reports and/or presentations

 

We’d also love it if you have the following:

Ability to understand Python, PHP, or other scripting languages

1+ years of experience supporting and maintaining complex SaaS application’s infrastructure
