Recruiter (Hybrid, Salary + Benefits) - Italian Home for Children

Montani Consulting is partnering with Italian Home for Children to identify and hire an outgoing and motivated Recruiter to join their team in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Italian Home for Children provides state-of-the-art programs and therapeutics for youth and families to thrive in their communities. 

The Recruiter will play a key role to develop and maintain the recruiting and onboarding process of new employees at Italian Home for Children. You would thrive in a role in which your day-to-day includes:

Strategy + Development:

  • Develop, execute, and continuously assess recruitment strategies, including working with the Development department to create recruitment advertising, developing marketing and promotion plans for successful recruitment, and designing and managing targeted outreach strategies with the goal of finding qualified staff members
  • Attend career fairs and other recruitment-related events virtually and in-person
  • Plan and lead virtual and onsite/in-person job fairs and interviews 
  • Manage, assess, and research partnerships with recruitment platforms
  • Develop, manage, and cultivate partnerships with local schools and universities to bring in new talent for employment, internships, and practicums and to build pipelines


  • Work closely with hiring managers to determine recruitment needs agency-wide and create recruitment processes tailored for specific departments/positions
  • Track, manage and update job vacancy data and recruitment strategies 
  • Use the HR recruitment/talent system to manage all job posts/ads, incoming applications, document notes regarding candidates, keep all correspondence and communication up to date
  • Assist leaders and hiring managers with all aspects of their selection process, including screening resumes, conducting phone and in-person interviews, as well as assisting with follow-up interviews, reference checks, offer letters, and the onboarding process 
  • Create and lead specific trainings for new hires

Metrics Management:

  • Work closely with managers to collect data regarding their interviewing and recruitment efforts
  • Collect, review, and report on recruitment and turnover data

You have a strong track record:

  • With social media platforms and other mediums for recruitment purposes
  • In Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Using computers, printers, copy machines, and fax machines

To qualify for this job, you must be:

  • An experienced HR professional with a minimum of 2 years experience, including recruiting 
  • A true professional that is reliable, organized, attentive-to-detail, flexible, and full of integrity
  • A critical thinker able to effectively identify, evaluate, and resolve issues
  • Able to maintain the strictest confidentiality with respect to the agency, employee, and client information; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
  • A strong written and verbal communicator with superior interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in working independently to carry out department and agency objectives

  • Experience in mental health or non-profit sector
